He is an advisory board member of the California Child Abduction Task Force. He worked for the California Highway Patrol for fifteen years in the Counterterrorism and Threat Awareness Section as the lead statewide instructor for emergency alerting. He has received several awards and commendations throughout his career including a California State Senate Resolution for Distinguished Service. Eddie Bertola holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice and a Master's Degree in Organizational Leadership.
