Forty-two years after her abduction from Kentucky, Michelle Newton has reunited with her father. Taken at age 3, Michelle recently discovered her true identity and contacted authorities. Simultaneously, a Crime Stoppers tip led investigators to Florida, where her mother, Debra, lived under an alias. DNA confirmed the identity of the former FBI “Top 8 Most Wanted” fugitive, who now faces felony custodial interference charges. “This is the kind of case you see once in a law-enforcement career,” said Colonel Steve Healey of Kentucky, noting how persistent investigative work and public tips can resolve even the coldest cases.
