Mexico became the first Latin American country to implement an AMBER Alert Program and the tenth in the world. The program called “Alerta AMBER Mexico” was developed through a joint training program by the U.S. AMBER Alert Training & Technical Assistance Program, U.S. Embassy Mexico City, and Office of Prosecutorial Development and Training (OPDAT).
