Bangladesh has officially launched MUN Alert (Missing Urgent Notification), a national child recovery system explicitly modeled after the AMBER Alert. Spearheaded by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), the initiative is a case study in effective public-private collaboration, partnering technically with the youth-led Zero Missing Children Platform and receiving advisory support from NCMEC and Meta. The system centralizes verification through a dedicated Missing Children Cell, triggering alerts across digital billboards, social media, and cell broadcasting during the critical first three hours.
