The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children is now sending AMBER Alerts to drivers in the Uber car network. The drivers get timely, geo-targeted AMBER Alerts as text messages on their Uber app, www.uber.com.newsroom. Uber allows consumers with smartphones to submit a trip request which is then sent to Uber drivers who use their own cars.
