Some of you may have already received this request via e-mail. If you have not responded or did not receive it: My agency, Texas Department of Public Safety, currently utilize an alerting platform built “in house” by our IT Department that creates missing person flyers and distributes them to registrants and social media.

I am reaching out to see if your state utilizes an external mass notification system/service, i.e. Code Red, Everbridge, AlertSense, etc. for your missing person alerts (AMBER, Blue, Silver, Etc.).

If you utilize such a system/service, please respond and tell me the following:
    1. The name of the service:
    2. What functions the system/service provides:

Thank you in advance for any information you might provide. If possible, I would like to receive your response by Friday, October 30 if possible.

    Hello Ben,

Here in Indiana we use Regroup (https://regroup.com)for issuing the WEA and EAS. The customer service is pretty good and get back to me pretty quickly. They work directly with FEMA/IPAWS to stay in compliance.

    Respectfully,
    Jen

    Hey Ben,

Here in Tennessee, we use NCMEC to distribute our WEA messages for AMBER Alerts. We work directly with FEMA/ IPAWS for our Blue Alerts and all other alerts are distributed to local media through our PIOs. Our Partnership with NCMEC is great and we also worked with California to create a bitly hyperlink for our alerts that is sent in our WEA message, where users can click the hyperlink and it directs them to our Twitter page that contains all the details of the alert that was issued.

    Best,
    Emily

Idaho uses CodeRED from OnSolve for AMBER alerts. We use it to issue the WEA.

Let me know if you need anything else.
