We are seeking any information from other agencies that have any type of public service announcements, pamphlets, videos, etc., on instructing the public to call 911 sooner rather than later when a child goes missing. Many families either believe that there is a mandatory “waiting period” before they can call and make a missing person report or they organize family members, friends, etc. to start looking for the child first thus wasting precious time in getting that child’s information out to law enforcement and the public. We are researching and working on a program for public awareness and would like to see how other states are handling this or what tips or advice anyone can offer.
Thanks for any assistance!
