Be sure to ask these questions when interviewing the individual(s) who last had contact with the child.<\/h3><div class=\"lsow-accordion style2\" data-toggle=\"false\" data-expanded=\"false\"><div class=\"lsow-panel\" id=\"\"><div class=\"lsow-panel-title\">More Information<\/div><div class=\"lsow-panel-content\"><p>Please note that if this step requires leaving the scene to contact individuals, another officer should be brought in to remain at the location of response.<\/p>\n<p>If the parents\/guardians\/reporting persons interviewed in step two are <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>not <\/strong><\/span>those who last saw the child, be sure to ask those who last saw the child these questions. <strong>This assumes you have already asked these questions of the parents\/guardians\/reporting persons interviewed in step two.\u00a0<\/strong>You should also be sure to update communications with this information as they will update the incident records and NCIC as appropriate.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>A detailed description of the missing child at the time last seen\n<ul>\n<li>Clothing and outerwear (coats, hats)<\/li>\n<li>Personal items the child may have had with him\/her (backpack, phone, toys\/stuffed animals, etc.)<\/li>\n<li>Any injuries or medical issues the child had at the time (or which may have been witnessed during the incident, if known)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Any descriptive information on the abductor, if known or witnessed<\/li>\n<li>Any descriptive information on any vehicle used in the missing\/abduction incident<\/li>\n<li>What is the child\u2019s custody status?<\/li>\n<li>With whom does the child typically stay (mother, father, grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc.)?<\/li>\n<li>Who generally cares for\/watches the child during the time when the child was last seen?<\/li>\n<li>Does the child have any special needs (cognitive\/behavioral and\/or medical)?<\/li>\n<li>What is the child's spoken language? Does the child have any language barriers or abilities (such as speaking more than one language, or using sigh language)?<\/li>\n<li>Who does the child know that lives in the area or nearby, where they may have gone seeking them or to visit (obtain names, addresses and\/or phone numbers known)?<\/li>\n<li>How far do you believe the child would be have able to travel by foot since last were seen?<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div><\/div><!-- .lsow-panel --><\/div><!-- .lsow-accordion --><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div id=\"pg-29569-9\"  class=\"panel-grid panel-has-style\" ><div class=\"panel-row-style panel-row-style-for-29569-9\" ><div id=\"pgc-29569-9-0\"  class=\"panel-grid-cell\" ><div id=\"panel-29569-9-0-0\" class=\"so-panel widget widget_lsow-accordion panel-first-child panel-last-child\" data-index=\"12\" ><div\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\tclass=\"so-widget-lsow-accordion so-widget-lsow-accordion-default-d75171398898-29569\"\n\t\t\t\n\t\t>\n<h3 class=\"widget-title\">7.
